[ PARTNERS ]

[ INTRODUCTION ]
My full-time collaboration with Bloomag started in September 2022. I started by developing and fully redesigning company's branding, new Brand Guidelines and Website. We initiated a collaboration with leading universities in the US, working on the development of an agricultural consortium in partnership with scientists and major tech companies. During this phase, I was focused on the development of the consortium's website and strategy. Early 2023 we shipped a brand new Bloom API Web Portal, followed by the design of our Bloom Web App Analytics Platform. This involved designing alerts and warnings system, and analytics experiences while addressing the unique nuances for different types of users. After gathering positive feedback from users and stakeholders we focused on the Bloom Mobile App dedicated to single farmers and pest controllers.

[ OUR PROJECT ]
Bloomag’s mission is to increase agriculture yields, quality, and accuracy by using data to manage pests. Agriculture is a complex system resting on an underlying complex state. It is complicated in terms of how it works. We started collaborating with growers and scientists in California with Almonds in some of the farms. These included farms as small as 2 acres to as big as 20 thousand acres. Almonds in California were a good place to start because California accounts for 70% of worlds total almond production. Lessons learned here translated well to other crops without loss of generality.

[ WEB DESIGN ]
Bloomag's and
Consortium's Website
creating two websites from the scratch based on our brand guidelines, adding the CMS
[ PROBLEM STATEMENT ]
Bloomag needs a new website that will engage various user types. Given the difficulty in finding information about technology in agriculture, our aim is to facilitate this process by creating an intuitive and understandable experience. How might we potentially gain valuable partners by communicating the benefits of collaborating with Bloomag and the Consortium?

[ LOW FIDELITY PROTOTYPES ]
Following user journeys and our research I started with the low fidelity prototypes. My main task was to make the website intuitive, and easy for the user to find all the important information. I also knew that based on the chosen style guide we will develop our future products, to keep it clean and consistent between our different products. I knew from research (user personas, user journeys, interviews) that we need to keep our focus on the copywriting, so we can pass all the important information to all kinds of users.

[ FIRST ITERATION ]
During our first iteration we focused on the copywriting. It was very important to show how we work and how we protect our clients data. Our primary objective was to share as much information as we can without giving too many details. Main goal for the task flow was to encourage users to either contact us or join the consortium. As the designer I also focused on the consortiums website. We wanted to build it as the separate product, that would be accessible directly from Bloomag's website.

[ SECOND ITERATION ]
Second iteration was all about showing what our company is working on and how this could benefit our clients businesses. We also tried to find a good title and tone of voice for our website and future products.

[ THIRD ITERATION ]
Third iteration was all about the design details and overall User Interface. We worked on polishing the copywriting and web content.

[ THE WEBSITE ]
The website was build in Webflow. My main design and business goal was to create a library and a CMS for our web, so we could edit it easily in the future iterations.

[ PRODUCT DESIGN ]
Bloom API Developer Web Portal
API Web Portal redesign for a better understanding and faster navigation
[ COMPETITION ANALYSIS ]
Most challenging task here was to understand the needs of the user who is a developer. I analysed some of the examples of the API portals, compering most important factors.

Bloom Web App Dashboard
[ INTRODUCTION ]
In this case study, I'll explain how I designed a Web App Dashboard for Blomag. The goal was to make a platform that helps manage and improve farming operations smoothly. Blomag needed a dashboard that could work with different data sources and be easy to use. In today's world, it's crucial for tools to be user-friendly. Blomag's new dashboard, called Bloomag DAS, stands out with its interactive features and visualisations.
[ CLIENT ]
Dole / The company is among the world's largest producers of fruit and vegetables
[ INITIAL RESEARCH ]
First, we talked to farmers and farming experts to understand what they needed. Then, I looked at other similar tools to see what worked well. We focused on features like monitoring crops, real-time data, and data security.
[ USER PROFILES RESEARCH ]
To protect our client's data we created three different user profiles with different accesses: Admin, Superuser, and Standard User. I created one more user persona - Carlos a single farmer and Ashley - a 'public' profile that would help me understand the 'public' user.

Based on the interviews with the users and personas I wanted to highlight the region and amount of the data that each of the users will have to process. CEO of the company needs a bigger picture, PCA is focused rather on the region and a single farmer on a single piece of land and his own single farm.

[ PRODUCT DESIGN - BLOOMAG'S MONITORING MOBILE APP ]
Bloom Mobile
[INTRODUCTION]
In this case study, I'll explain how I designed a Mobile App for Blomag. The goal was to create an app that helps monitor infected trees by scanning and marking the plants on the map of the field. It allowed farmers to keep track on their fields and focus on real data to monitor their yields. It was crucial for the app to be intuitive, as most of the steps would be done in the field.
